he following are instructions on how to setup the PTZ 640/660 camera:
1.) Once you have opened the GeoVision software, press F9 to get into the system configuration.
2.) Click on the PTZ Devive Setup check-box. You should see a check symbol inside the box.
3.) Select Pelco Dome in the drop down list.
4.) Click on the PTZ Device setup icon (looks like a plug).
5.) The setup prompt should have the following specs:
Com Port: Com 1
Baud Rate: 4800
PTSpeed: 1-5
Protocol: P
6.) Click on the check-box next to Activate in the setup prompt, and click OK.
7.) Click OK again to exit out of the system configure menu.
8.) Unlock the two pieces of the PTZ camera.
The SPD6600 series is one of our latest PTZ cameras and requires the latest version of GV software (8.01+). Here are some quick steps that should be taken to setup the gss PTZ camera:
1.) Open the system configure panel by pressing F9.
2.) Make sure to check the box next to "PTZ Device Setup".
3.) Click the drop-down menu and select MESSOA SD660 series.
4.) Click on the icon to the right of “PTZ Device Setupâ€.
5.) When the prompt opens, check the box next to “Activateâ€, and click on OK.
6.) Click OK again to exit out of the system configure panel.
7.) Click on the “Configure†button.
8.) Select the “Camera Mapping PTZ Dome†option. This is where you will assign the PTZ to the camera screen you wish to assign it to. For example, I will select “MESSOA (SPD6600)†and “Address 1†for Camera 1.
9.) Exit from this screen, and click on the network button.
10.) Select the “WebCam Server†option. If nothing happens, select it again.
11.) When the setup prompt appears, click on the “Video†tab.
12.) Finally, select “Allowed PTZ camera†option. You should see a checked box next to the camera screen you assigned the PTZ to.
