Q: The client's computer is running on vista. They are have problems accessing the GeoVision DVR with 6.11 software. Any suggestion?
A: Machines running on Windows Vista will not be able to install the ActiveX control modules, therefore, on the DVR machine the option for "create JPEG file" in Webcam Server must be enabled. Then have the Windows Vista machine connect to the DVR and view the JPEG files.
As a side note, Windows Vista can install the ActiveX control modules for GeoVision software v7.0 and up if your GeoVision card is capable.
