Hi Lance,
This email is to get back to you with the system lock-up issue.
The motherboard you have used is Gigabyte GA-8I865GME-775-RH (rev. 2.0) with the BIOS Version:FA
We have spoken with the support team from Gigabyte and we were informed that they had made a modification for on-board temperature detection on BIOS Version :FC (2007/05/30). The previous version of BIOS might cause the instability issue for the systems. Therefore, they had suggested all customers to do the BIOS update
BIOS Version :FC (2007/05/30)

Thank you.

Edward, I ran Everest and have included the report. I did not have a chance to get to the client to install 'Fast Backup'... would you be able to install it over the web? I have VNC running on the machine and the IP address is 24.225.31.216. The password is golden01. Thanks, Dallas.

Hi Dallas,
I will need the following information from you for the system that is locked up.
Thanks a lot for the help.
1. PC Spec
Download the file from:
http://www.geovision.com.tw/geo/GeoVisio...21.Utility to check PC SPEC.zip
Unzip the downloaded file and install the application. (You can uninstall it after you email me with the report)
Run the file called “everest†within the folder created after installation.
On the top of the application, select Report -> Report Wizard
Press Next.
Select Hardware-related pages
Select HTML
The scanning process will be launched.
When it’s finished, please kindly save the output file and email back to me.
2 ( for software v8.0 and up) -- FBR
Please follow the steps below to do the setting back up
Install our Fast Backup and Recover utility from the installation CD.
Locate the FBR file you just installed.
You will be asked for your user name and password.
After successful login, please select Backup System Setting.
Press next when you are asked about which setting for backup. (Default is to back up everything. Please don’t back up password other I won’t be able to log in on my end.)
Set the location where the backup file is stored.
Please email me the setting file you have got. (Please zip it before you send it since .exe file will be blocked.)
Best regards,
