Full Version: What is Dual Streaming?
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
For dual streaming, our compression format is MPEG4 and MJPEG.
Most providers in the market can only support single MPEG4 format, or either MPEG4 or MJPEG (dual codec, but not at the same time)
For our dual streaming, our unit not only provides both compression formats, it also supports streaming of both at the same time.
So, you can open two IE browsers, one with MPEG4 setting, one with MJPEG, at the same time.
This feature is highly useful when monitoring on the local network uses MJPEG (better quality but cost more bandwidth), while internet viewing (at the same time), can use MPEG4, (less bandwidth, smoother performance). This is truly dual codec and dual streaming. Many companies claim to have this feature, but very few actually allow simultaneous streaming of both formats.

This is a key point when, comparing our products to other brands.
