Can I use a Day Night Camera in only black and white? This is for an outdoor parking lot area and the customer has requested a black and white camera. They will have one camera on a building and one camera on a utility light poll overlooking the parking area.
All of our Day and night cameras alternate from color to black and white for optimal imaging detail in both day and night and weather conditions. The cameras make this automatic switch based on the lighting conditions.
Both the Pro 4 and the Pro 3, do have a manual switch that will allow the user to choose only black and white.
I do not know why the user would want to receive images in black and white for this application. Perhaps they only view images in black and white. If that is the case, they will still get a better result if they allowed the cameras to change from color to black and white; the image will still be better quality, even if they are viewing the video on black and white monitors. The Pro 3 has an I/R filter which shows optimum detail for Day Night.
