I have a client who is running a camera server with a GV-1480-16 DVR card.
They want to add IP Cameras and have one interface to record and control all cameras.
Here are my questions:
Q:Will they need anything other than V8.2 of the software?
A:IF THEY ARE USING 3RD PARTY IP, THEY WILL NEED TO PURCHASE THE GV-NVR USB LICENSE FOR 3RD PARTY IP.
Q:They purchased the GV-1480-16 card in January of 2007, will it work with the V8.2 or does it need an upgrade?
A: NO, GV-1480 SUPPORT VERSION 8.2
Q:I see that V8.2 will only handle 8 IP cameras. Does that mean that V8.2 will handle 24 cameras total (16 regular and 8 IP) or just 16 total (8 regular and 8 IP) A TOTAL OF 16 CHANNEL 8 ANALOG / 8 IP Will they need any other software or hardware to make this work?
A:LIKE MENTIONED EARLIER, THEY MAY NEED THE GV-NVR USB LICENSE FOR 3RD PARTY IP CAMERA
