It is very easy to setup the DDNS. What you need to do is to create a host name and ensure the network connection is working.

Following are the steps for your reference.

Before using DDNS, you will need to make sure that you have the network connection on the DVR.

Setting up DDNS

Go to System Setup -> Network setup -> DDNS setup

Under the DDNS setup

1. Enable the DDNS. Yes

2. Create your host name. To whatever name you like

3. DDNS port Normally port 80 should be fine.

4. Submit/ Update Once you finished the settings above, submit the host name.

There will be a message showing on the screen soon after you submit the request to DDNS server.

If you don’t have network connect or the host name has already registered, you will see “fail to submit” message on the screen.

Then, you will need to double check your network connection again.

In addition, if you don’t want to create a host name by yourself, just use the ezDDNS.

The DDNS server will automatically assign an available host name for you such as DVR_XXXX.
