I signed into the clients DVR and burned Day/ Night events with the license plate camera. Please look at the video clips and let me know of any ideas for the following. LIKE I TOLD YOU FROM THE START, I NEEDED A CAMERA TO READ LICENSE PLATES, BOTH DAY AND NIGHT. I WAS TOLD THE PRO 7 WOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS WITH NO PROBLEM.

1) I PLACED SETTING FOR TRAFFIC MODE 4. WHEN THE CAR IS NOT MOVING IN THE DAYTIME I SEE THE PLATE. WHEN YOU SEE THE OTHER CAR PULL UP IN THE DRIVEWAY ON THE VIDEO YOU CAN NOT READ THE PLATE.

2) NIGHT TIME VIDEO YOU CAN ONLY SEE A WHITE SQUARE. YOU MENTIONED THIS CAMERA HAS A BOARD THAT WILL COMPENSATE AND ALLOW ME TO SEE THE PLATE. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK. IS THERE A SETTING IN THE MENU I NEED TO HAVE SET FOR NIGHT TIME PICTURE RECOGNITION ?

Sincerely yours,

Please follow the following steps to resolve this issue.
1. Please make sure the camera is in "LPR" mode.
2. Zoom in the camera to make the License Plate occupy at least 1/5 of the screen.

(Because PRO7H is an overview traffic camera, which could do either overview (wide-angle view) or LPR (need to zoom in the camera), but could do both at the same time. If the camera is set in wide-angle, the license plate would be too small to recognize).

If step 1 and step 2 above couldn't solve the problem, then try step 3 below:
3. Change the Traffic Mode to "TRAFFIC 1" or "TRAFFIC 3".(Please refer to the instructions manual "Traffic" in page 8 to get more details about different traffic modes).

Besides, the distance between the camera and license plate must be at least 25 feet so that the IR beam wouldn't be so strong that the words on license plate would be washed out.
Please let me know if the steps above couldn't resolve your issue.
Thank you very much.
