Hi, i recently bought a dvr (ademco ahdr16x-320) from ebay! because of a number of attempted burglaries! it was supplied with user password but no administrator password i have been waiting nearly 3 months for him to get me it! but i am fed up with waiting, is there any way i can get it? it wont even let me switch off! i have to turn off at the wall, can some clever person please please help? or can someone suggest somewhere to get it done (cheap preferably) ha ha...thanks Wayne.
Hi, Have you tried contacting the Manufacturer?
Sometimes there is an easy solution to a Forgotten password, unless your dealing with Dedicated Micros!
You may be able to Format the Hard Drive and reinstall the Operating System.
You might also be able to connect to the machine via a cross over cable and execute a command that will factory default the machine.
I looked in there download section and there are firmware upgrades, but I didn't see a download for the OS.
Your best bet is to phone Tech support and tell them you have either forgotten the password or that the hard drive has died and you need the software.
Either way I am sure they can point you in the right direction
