Hi,

Regarding your question that your DVR said "Innitialize Database, did you install a new hard drive before seeing this error message? If yes, please follow the steps below:

-------------------------------------------------

(a) Turn the DVR off, remove the new hard drive, and then put it back into DVR.

(b) Turn the DVR on, and see if you still see the same error message.

© If you still see it, please try to format the hard drive in the DVR system by the steps: choose “database setup”à”storage”. Then you should be able to see different hard drives and choose the new one you just installed to format.

(Be careful!!! Select the wrong hard drive to format will clear the existing data on that hard drive).

-------------------------------------------------

If you didn’t install a new hard drive or the steps above couldn’t solve your problem, please let me know.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Hello..
I encountered that situation before and you know i found out that the hard disk is damage. the solution is you must replace it by a new one and talk to the owner of the DVR that you will replace it. try to recover the data in the disk if you can if not same thing tell them the situation.

Best regards.
Or if its a Dedicated Micro's DVR, DONT EVEN BOTHER! Unless you have gone on their HDD Course. W***ers.
