With the DDNS (or Dynamic IP) service, you can remotely view your webcam server via domain name you configured. I will explain how you will go about configuring your GV system (using webcam) to utilize the DDNS service.

Run the GeoVision software installation CD and proceed to select the option to install the "GeoVision System". Once you have selected this (and clicked yes to the agreement), choose to install "GeoVision Dynamic DNS Service".

Once that is install, run the application and you will be given a login prompt. Here is where you will type in the username and password you wish to assign to the PC DVR. I should note that this username will be part of the domain name assigned to the DVR. Once you have done that, make sure the box next to "Run at startup" is selected. Next you will click on "register", where a new window will appear.

Within this window you will type the same username and password you typed in at the login prompt. Once you have confirmed the username, password and verification, you will get a confirmation page with your domain name and public IP address.

As mentioned before, the username will be part of the domain name. For example, my username is gsstechic, so my domain name is gsstechic.dipmap.com
