Full Version: Cannot See Zavio F210A on network?

Hello,

I connected the Ethernet cable to the router and F210a, but couldn't see the camera when searching in the Intelligent IP Installer.
I also tried to reset the camera by pressing the reset button in the back but in vain.
Would you please let me know what's wrong with the camera and how I could solve the problem? Thank you very much.

1. Model Name: F210A
2. Is it viewed through IE or the bundle software: Cannot see it neither on IE nor the software.
3. Windows OS and IE version: Windows XP Pro SP2/ IE 6.0

Hi! This is Philip from Zavio, thank you for your question.

The F210 setup step is following steps.
1. Connected with Straight-through ethernet to your Router or Switch. (Don't use cross-over ethernet)
2. Plugin the 5 VDC Adapter. There are two blue LED lighting for power and network. (Don't use 12 VDC )
3. After 1 minute, the F210A IPCamera will complete the booting process and you can find in the IP Installer.
4. The F210A IPCamera's default setting is DHCP and you need make suer that your Router DHCP Server is "Enable". If you don't have the DHCP Server, the F210A IPCamera will be set at 192.168.1.X ( "X" means random ). You need to assign your PC IP address with same domain.
5. The reset to default function: After plug the DC adapter for 1 minute, find something like needle to press the reset button near the Speaker hole for ten seconds. When you release the button, it will back to default status.

With following steps I think that you will find the IPCamera with IP Installer.

Hello Philip,

I followed all the steps you said (including pressing the reset button) and used the adapter included in the original box which is a 5VDC Adapter.
However, the Software couldn't find the camera still.

I tested another F210A I have here and everything worked well.
Please let me know if there's anything I could do. Or this one is defective and I need to send it back.
