Q: I have a PC based DVR, and everything is installed correctly on that computer . I could see the video on that server computer without any problem.
However, when I try use the other computer to access the webcam through IE, I got PINK video. Why is that and how I could resolve this issue?

A: There are two reasons causing that problem:
(1) DirectX 9 is not installed on your computer.
(2) Some other program (mostly remote control programs, i.e. PCANYWHERE) is using the directdraw overly.

In order to resolve this problem,
(1) Make sure your video card driver is installed.
(2) Please check if you have DirectX 9 installed. (Windows Start->Run->Type dxdiag and then click OK. Then you should be able to see DirectX 9 version at the bottom of the pop-up screen. If not, please install it (you could find it in the GeoVision CD).
(3) If the problem still exists after DirectX 9 installation, that means maybe some other program uses the directdraw overlay function. Thus, please disable "Directdraw Overlay" in GeoVision software in the DVR server (Configure->General Setting->System Configure. Then, uncheck "Enable Directdraw Overlay" and click OK). Then, you should be able to see the video.

p.s. Disable Directdraw Overly will make you unable to use FullScreen function.
