There are 2 steps to setting up motion-based recording on the NVRmini:
First if the IP camera supports motion recording, setup that up on the camera page using Internet Explorer.
Second, access the main page of the NUUO NVRmini using IE, then click <Recording & Event> and select <Event & Action Management>. If this IP camera supports motion detection, you will see <Motion from Camera> option in the camera section. Check that box, and hit Save.
