The media disks below are tested and recommended. CD-R, CD+R, DVD-R and DVD+R are not compatible.

· SanDisk USB Drive 2.0 (strongly recommended for easy and faster backup)

· Sony CD-RW 4X 700MB (CD-RW Drive is required)

· Memorex CD-RW 4X 700MB (CD-RW Drive is required)

· Memorex DVD-RW 4X 4.7GB (DVR-RW Drive is required)

· Imation DVD-RW 4X 4.7GB (DVR-RW Drive is required)

· Staples DVD-RW 4X 4.7GB (DVR-RW Drive is required)


SEARCH - DVR CONTROL PANEL

· Press SEARCH

· Select CALENDAR SEARCH, TIME SEARCH, or EVENT SEARCH. (follow the instruction to locate the right date and time)

· To stop while playing, press Stop


BACKUP - DVR CONTROL PANEL

· Insert a USB drive or CD-RW/DVD-RW

· Press MENU

· Select COPY and press ENTER

· Select MEDIA FORMAT

· Select FORMAT MEDIA: USB_Front or INTERNAL CD-RW/DVD (using +- key)

· Select MEDIA FORMAT and press ENTER

Note:

· Both USB drive and CD-RW/DVD-RW must be formatted before copying.

· For CD-RW/DVD-RW, it takes about 30-45 min depending on the disk brand and storage.

· When format is completed, you will see a message “Formatting Successful”. The Media Total will list 3820MB(USB 4GB), 572MB(CD-RW), and 4486MB(DVD-RW).

· After format, press MENU

· Select COPY and press ENTER

· Select COPY and press ENTER

· Select MEDIA: USB_Front or INTERNAL CD-RW/DVD (using +- key)

· Select START TIME, END TIME and press ENTER

· Enter password: 11111111 (enter your own if you change the default password)

· Wait until it is completed


PLAYBACK – COMPUTER

· Install the DVR-Viewer software (SETUP.EXE file on the CD.

· Insert a USB drive or CD-RW/DVD-RW

· Open the DVR-Viewer software (DVR-Viewer icon on your desktop)

· Ignore the fist login window by clicking OK

· Click FILE SEARCH

· Click FOLDER SELECT to locate a USB drive(removable disk) or CD-RW/DVD-RW and click OK

· Click PLAY

· Press ENTER

· Enter password: 11111111 (enter your own if you changed the default password)

· Your video is playing now.
