Is there a way to configure a Geovision Compact DVR to accept a GV Data Capture device either V2 or V3?
How about the Triplex or Dynacolor Standalone DVR's?
It appears the only solution is a third party text inserter option.
GeoVision Compact DVRs accept GV Data Capture device. I believe DynaColor does it, too.
I can't find anything in the Geo Compact DVR manual that mentions assigning the Geo Data Capture device to a specific camera like the PC based system. Also none of the Configuration screens reference Data Capture.
Is there a newer Firmware release that adds this capability? Our units are currently running V153 2008-10-27.
GeoVision compact DVRs have couple of versions. I think the current one is Compact DVR V2. I may have also seen a firmware update on their website.

The referenced site doesn't mention the Compact DVR being able to interface with the Geovision Data Capture box. They do mention a MiniDVR V2 which does support data capture. This may be the only alternative to a full blown PC based system.
