I use V8.3 software but I can not locate Arecont IP cameras.

Please try 8.31.

We were also able to delete IPCAMX folder and GeoIPCamXlist file in C:\Windows and run the IPCamInstall.exe in the GeoVision DVD at D:\DVR\Local\Ipcam. This solved the above problem.
