Dear Sir,
It looks like a VGA card issue.
Please try disabling the DSP overlay option under A/V setting, if everythings looks normal again, please update your VGA card driver and try again.

Thank you for contacting GeoVision Tech Support.
Please first verify whether the black channel is of IP or analog camera.
If it is analog, switch the channel input from one channel to another (in the picture it is on channel 4, switch it to channel 5).
Then, see if the black screen follows the camera or if it only stays on channel 4. You may also test another working camera and plug into channel 4 to see if it is working fine with the other cameras.
If it follows the camera, it is most likely the camera source or the connection that is creating the problem.
Otherwise, if it is always on channel 4 that is black regardless of which camera you plug into, it should be the card itself that is having the problem.
Please let us know if you have any question.
Thank you
Best Regards,

Dear Sir,
Please try updating the VGA driver first, since this is the only way to get rid of the issue completely.
There are ways to disable DSP overlay, for example, you could turn on the DSP sport monitor feature which will disable the DSP overlay feature, or in the System Configure, select the "Mini-View for Remote Desktop" option, and after restart, the DSP overlay will also be disabled.

Also enable "Sport Monitor" to have DSP Overlay disabled permanently.
