Why do I obtain the error message "This file is not a valid .WAV file" when uploading a WAV file as a voice message to the camera?

The WAV file must be a mono file in a-law format with a sampling rate of 8 kHz. In Windows you can open the file in the audio recorder (in Windows XP with "Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment Media") and select the appropriate format when saving. The file is then automatically converted during saving.
