Can images be saved on a Windows 2003 server or Windows 2003 Small Business Server with a MOBOTIX camera?
ANS:
A camera cannot be registered in a Windows domain or ActiveDirectory structure at this time.
In order to transfer files to a Windows 2003 server you must create a local user on the server. In addition, the package signing on the server side must be disabled, as described in the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 TechCenter article ('Microsoft network (server): Digital signing of communications').
A Windows 2003 Small Business Server can only be operated as a Primary Domain Controller (PDC). Local users cannot be created on this server. The only possible solution at this time for saving images on a small business server is to use the NFS server from the Windows services for UNIX. Please note that this is a Microsoft product for whose configuration MOBOTIX does not provide support.
