Why doesn’t the file server storage work on the Windows Small Business Server 2003?

ANS:
The Windows Small Business Server 2003 can only be operated as a Primary Domain Controller (PDC). As a rule, file server storage with MOBOTIX cameras is not possible with domain or active directory log-ons. In addition, the local user registered for the MOBOTIX camera has to have administrator privileges.

As an alternative for low image storage rates (e.g. one image per minute), storing the images in combination with a local FTP server would also come into question. However, this can be no means be considered as a full-fledged replacement for file server storage. This solution does not offer nearly as much performance and cannot be recommended for storing the images from several cameras at the same time.
