How can you transmit files to an external FTP server, when a proxy server is set up in the local network?
ANS:
There are no input fields available for the configuration of an FTP data transmission for a proxy server in the MOBOTIX camera. Nevertheless, it is still possible to transmit FTP files. The following entries in the FTP profile are required:
Host:
IP address of the proxy server (perhaps with the port, but only in the event that Port 21 is not the standard port used for FTP).
User name:
ftp-benutzername@ftp-serveradresse (also e.g.. meineuserid@domainname.de).
Password:
ftp-password.
Note:
Please note that the network administrator can possibly use an installed firewall to block access to certain domains, web servers or even FTP or certain ports. If the MOBOTIX camera is not able to perform an FTP file transmission, first test to see whether an FTP program can be used to perform the transmission. For more information, please contact your network administrator.
