Difference between BNC type cards and D-type cards:

1. Shape:

The BNC type card has BNC video input and BNC audio input. BNC type cards can be connected to camera directly.
Connectors of D-type look like letter "D", so we call this card D-type card. D-type cards use cables (also called dongles or octopuses) to connect GV card and cameras

2. The methods of use:
There are only 4 video channels on each BNC card, so we have to use BNC extension cards if number of channels exceeds 4 channels.
Extension cards are not convenient for installation when number of case socket is not enough.
However, D-type cards use cables instead of extension cards. This way doesn’t have socket problem.
D-type cards are saled generally in the United State right now, but BNC card has been discontinued.
