Q:
I have a customer who has some special requirements and I would like your input on what Geovision Equipment I will need.
Here is what they are requesting:
He needs a 3 camera system viewing 3 exit doors to a warehouse, so he is inquiring about the GV-600-4.
He does not want to record on motion, he wants to start recording when the doors open. So I will need all of the equipment needed to receive a signal from door contacts to start recording. If you sell the door contacts, please quote on that also.
He also wants a monitor on the server and one in the lobby by the main exit door. I do not see any Svideo or any other video out on the GV-600, how do I handle the monitor for the lobby?
A:
Yes, you could use IO device to l trigger the recording through a switch or relay...which in this case are the door contacts.
If he has a seperate monitor for each exit, he can utilize the GV-loop card. The GV-loop card will capture the video signal from the GV-600 and output it for each available channel. In his case, he has three cameras, three channels and three monitors, so on the loop through he will run a cable from "CH1" output to the monitor close to the exit being monitored by camera 1 and so forth for the other channels.
