The following are directions to set up a microphone using the GeoVison software:
1.) Attach the DC cable with plug to the microphone end of Siamese cable.
-The female end of the DC cable plugs into the male end of the Siamese cable to provide power to the microphone.
-The other end of the DC cable plug splits into two smaller cables; one cable is black and one cable is black with a white
strip down the middle.
-The black cable on the DC cable plug goes to the black cable on the Siamese cable and the black cable with a strip
down the middle goes to the red end of the Siamese cable.
2.) Connect the black octopus cable to the black serial port on the back of the computer.
3.) Hook up the video camera to the black video 1 female output cable using a video cable.
-The video cable should have two BNC connectors on both ends in order to connect to the camera and the black video 1 female
output cable.
4.) Connect the microphone to the white audio 1 female output cable.
-You will need to connect a male RCA adapter to the audio 1 female output cable in order to connect the Siamese cable.
5.) Attach the last, unhooked end of the Siamese cable to the power supply box.
-The red cable goes to the red labeled end in the power supply box, and the same follows with the black cable.
6.) Once everything is connected, open up the GeoVision software.
7.) Click on the Monitor button and select Start All Monitoring.
8.) Once you finished recording, click on the Monitor button and select Stop All Monitoring.
9.) Now click on the View Log button and select Video/Audio Log.
10.) In the drop down menu, select a camera and play back the audio and video.
