We are having the error on "Mount Server Failed Exit Code 65280."

There are also no video files saved to the NAS.

He followed the directions in the guide and from the MX support forum (see below).
I would suggest you the following :

1 - Go to the camera setup menu>General event settings ans switch the ARMING to OFF (SET and CLOSE)
2 - Go to the NAS and rename the folder with the Factory IP of the camera. for example 10_3_12_45_old
3 - Knowing the size of your NAS, take off 10% of the storage space available anddividethe 90% left by the amount of the cameras
4 - Go to the Admin Menu>Storage on external file server, set CIFS etc... accordingly and DO NOT FORGET to set a maximum storage size (this can do a difference) and the "time to keep" setting.
5 - SET and CLOSE, reboot the camera.
6 - Check on the NAS if the camera did create a new folder
7 -Go to the camera setup menu>General event settings ans switch the ARMING to ON (SET and CLOSE)
NAS server issue

Razvan,
Anders had some great advice on providing more information. This should give us enough information on exactly what you're trying to do. In the meantime, I've included a few recommendations on setting up continuous recording.

NAS Information (you will need the following setup on you NAS)
1) Static IP address (from the DNS-323 web UI... Setup >> LAN)
2) User name and password (from the DNS-323 web UI... Advanced >> Users/Groups)
3) Setup one folder for all three cameras (from the DNS-323 web UI... Advanced >> Network Access). Assign the user from #2 to the folder and make sure it has read/write permissions)

Camera Configuration
Administration Overview (setting up the storage target)
1) From the camera's web UI select >> 'Admin Menu' >> 'Image Storage' >> Storage on External File Server / Flash Device'
2) Under 'Storage on External File Server / Flash Device' select the check box next to 'CIFS File Server'
3) Under 'Storage Options' enter the information specific to your NAS device, folder, user/password, storage size
Sample 'Storage Options' settings:
File Server IP: 192.168.1.2 (from the NAS information above)
Remote Directory/Share: mobotix (from the NAS information above)
Username: mxnfs (from the NAS information above)
Password: mxnfs_password (from the NAS information above)
Storage Size: 102400MB (100GB for this camera)
Time to keep: Unlimited checkbox checked
Number of sequences: Unlimited checkox checked
4) Click 'Set', 'Close', save/store the configuration to the camera and reboot the camera
Setup Overview
1) Following the reboot above, from the camera's web UI select 'Setup Menu' >> 'Event Control' >> 'General Event Settings'
2) Under 'Activity' >> 'Arming' select 'Enable' from the 'Value' dropdown menu.
3) Click 'Set', 'Close'
4) From the 'Setup Overview' window select 'Recording' in the 'Event Control' section
5) Under 'General Settings' >> 'Arming' select 'Enable' from the 'Value' dropdown menu
6) Under 'Storage Settings' >> 'Recording (REC)' select 'Continuous Recording' from the 'Value' dropdown menu; select the number of frames per second in the other dropdown menu (i.e. 2 s = one frame every 2 seconds); select 'Include audio' or 'Off' to have audio storage with the video)
7) Under 'Storage Settings' >> 'Start Recording' select 'All' from the multi-select window; select 'Max fps' for the Event Frame Rate; select '60 s' for the Recording Time (this will configure the camera to record at the max fps for 60 seconds if any event is triggered)
8) Under 'Storage Settings' >> 'Retrigger Recording' select 'None' from the multi-select window
9) Under 'Storage Settings' >> 'Stop Recording' select 'None' from the multi-select window
Sample 'Recording' settings:
Arming: Enable
(no time table)
Digital Signing: Off
Recording Status: On
Full Image Recording: On
Terminate Recording (TR): Off
Recording (REC): Continuous Recording
2 s
Include audio
Start Recording: All
Retrigger Recording: None
Stop Recording: None
60 s
5
10) Click 'Set', 'Close', save/store the configuration to the camera
That's it. Do the 'Camera Configuration' above for each camera.
In summary, this will setup continuous recording (one frame every 2 seconds) with the maximum number of frames per second being recorded for 60 seconds when an event is triggered. 100GB will be stored for each camera... after 100GB is stored the camera will manage the quota by deleting older files as new files are saved (i.e. the most recent 100GB of video files are available). This is a simple setup... adjusting other settings will customize this even more.
