Full Version: How to Install a GV-Video Server

Installing on a Network:


1.) Connect your camera's video output to the BNC video input.

2.) Connect your audio source to the RCA audio input.

3.) Connect the hub or switch on the LAN to the unit's 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.

4.) Connect the power supply to the power input.


Assigning an IP Address:
(Designed for use on an Ethernet network, the GV-Video Server must be assigned an IP address to make it accessible.)


1.) Connect a router your PC using an Ethernet cable.

2.) Type the router's IP address in a web browser; for example: http://192.168.0.1

3.) Under the Internet Connection Type section, choose Obtain an IP Automatically.

4.) Under the Local IP Address section, type the following address: 192.168.0.1

5.) Under the Local DHCP Server section, select the Enable option.

6.) Under the Start IP Address section, type the following: 192.168.0.2

7.) Under the Number of Addresses section, type 100.

8.) At the bottom of the page, click on the Save Settings button.

9.) Open your web browser, and type the GV-Video Server's default address: http://192.168.0.10

10.) In both Login and Password fields, type the default value admin; click Apply.

11.) In the left menu, select Network and then LAN to begin the network settings.

12.) According to your network environment, select one of these methods to set the IP address: Dynamic IP Address, Static IP Address, and PPPoE.

13.) Click on the Apply button at the bottom of the page to save the settings.
